Mildred (McNeill) Hinnant

Mildred McNeill Hinnant, age 79, of Broadway, NC, died Monday, January 11, 2021 at Central Carolina Hospital.

She was born in Harnett County, NC on May 5, 1941 to the late Curtis Madison McNeill and Monie Jane McNeill.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Joseph Milbern Hinnant; and siblings Lester McNeill, Shelby Glascock, and Curtis McNeill. 

Mildred graduated from Boone Trail High School and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.  She retired from Goody’s which was B.C. Moore at one time.  She loved cooking and spending time with her family.  She will be missed.

She is survived by her son Todd Hinnant and wife Alice of Broadway; daughter Carol Hinnant Thomas and husband Bill of Sanford; grandchildren Jarrod Thomas of Durham, Noah Thomas of Sanford, Kayla Judy of Broadway, Kyle McNeill of Wilmington; great-grandchild Coleman Judy and siblings Mary Short of Sanford, Roy McNeill of Broadway and Betty Gray and husband Lee Ray of Broadway.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating.  There will be no formal visitation but friends may greet family following the graveside service.
