Obituary
Michele Suzanne Martin, age 48, of Sanford, NC, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023.
She was born in Lee County on February 12, 1975 to Deborah “Debbie” Saunders Newton of Deep River and John David Martin, Jr. (Rhonda) of Sanford. She was preceded in death by her maternal-grandparents Charles and Edna Saunders; paternal-grandparents John and Beverly Martin and step-brother John David Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her precious daughter Sabra Anne Thomas; Sabra’s father Timothy Curtis “Tim” Thomas of Sanford; brother William Roy Newton of Deep River; half-sister Laurel Wiberg of Clayton and step-brother Matthew Caldwell of Virginia.
Michele was a lover of all animals. There wasn’t an animal she didn’t care for but more than anything, she loved her daughter Sabra. She also enjoyed dancing, clothes, music and was known for singing and recording karaoke in her car for all to enjoy.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Zion Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Rocky Stone officiating. There will be no visitation.
