Mary Elizabeth (Edwards) Williams

Mary Elizabeth Edwards Williams, age 90, of Sanford, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021.

She was born in Wake County on July 1, 1930 to the late Hezzikiah Carlton Edwards and Nancy Jane Hallmon Edwards.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Fulton Williams and twelve siblings. Mary enjoyed cooking and feeding her family.  Her chicken and dumplings were a family favorite. She loved pretty flowers and babies.

Mrs. Williams is survived by sons Ronnie Williams and wife Priscilla of Asheboro, Kenneth Williams and wife Ann of Fayetteville and Stephen Williams and wife Cathy of Sanford; grandchildren Amber Scarlett and husband Mike, Jason Williams and wife Margaret, Paul Williams and Brandon Williams; two great-grandchildren Liam Preston Scarlett and Arlo James Williams; step-grandchild Tiffany Mize Thomas and two step-great-grandchildren Kailyn Mize and Kinsley Mize.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Buffalo Cemetery with Dr. Billy Jarrett officiating.
