Mary Lee (Fallin) Marks

Mary Lee Fallin Marks, age 78 of Cameron, NC, passed away January 7, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Lee County, NC on April 21, 1946 to the late Floyd Henry Fallin and Minnie Elizabeth Crissman Fallin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Howard Marks, Jr. and siblings Jerry Wayne Fallin and Johnny Fallin.

Mary is survived by her children Brenda Bettis and husband Allen of Philadelphia, TN, Chris Marks and wife Joyce of Sanford; grandchildren Valerie Riggs, Rebecca Jenkins, Brandon Marks, Travis Marks, Samantha Marks, Cody Marks, Ryan Marks, Anna Marks, Devon Giles and twelve great-grandchildren.

Mary loved to go to Nelly’s to listen to live music and dance, along with going to Thurlow Lake and Circle M City. She loved spending time with friends and family. She loved her job at Social Services and helping the families she was assigned. She loved the kids at Head Start, and even thought of them as her own children. She loved her children, grandkids and great-grandbabies. She loved her Dean hugs especially when she got very weak. She loved to go to the beach with her kids and loved to go camping. She made sure she was always there for her family and friends. From grandkids' graduations to friends needing someone to talk to. She loved to read and give back to the Veterans. She was a very proud mother and loved to brag about her kids every chance she got. She was very resourceful from sewing clothes to canning foods.  Mary will be missed by everyone who loved her.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on February 8, 2025  from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
