Mary Darlene Mangum

It is sad that we announce the passing of our sister, Mary Darlene Mangum, 60, on September 9, 2025.

She was born on May 9, 1965, in Sanford, NC to Brooks Hillmon and Mary Alberta Douglas Mangum, both deceased.

She was a graduate of Western Harnett High School and was dedicated to her career as a Certified Nurse’s Aide.  As a CNA, she was an excellent healthcare aide.  She built a good relationship with other healthcare employees and her patients.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Michael Holden, and siblings Joyce Mangum Rosser, Douglas Wayne Mangum (Elizabeth), Ralph Hillmon Mangum (Margaret), and Shirley Conley (Ronald).  She is also survived by seven nieces, eight nephews, several cousins and her Best Friend Forever (BFF), Linda Vaillancourt of Cameron.

The Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church with Pastor Wayne O’Quinn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sanford Outreach Missions, 705 S. 3rd. Street, Sanford, NC, 27330, in her memory.
