Mary (Meeks) Dickerson

Mary Meeks Dickerson, age 86, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at UNC Hospital.

She was born in Caswell County on August 14, 1936, to the late David Meeks and Lucy Odell Meeks.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas Coleman Dickerson and sister, Catherine Stanley.  Prior to retirement, Mrs. Dickerson worked many years at Roberts Company and then retired from Colts of Lee County.  She will be remembered as a loving, caring person who read her Bible every evening and who always looked for the positive in people around her.  She was a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by son, Dale Dickerson of Snow Camp; daughters, Mitzi Johnson, Terry Lynn Dickerson and Tonya Bourgeois all of Sanford; sister, Helen Stephenson of Texas:  thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Buffalo Cemetery Mausoleum. The life of Thomas C. Dickerson will also be celebrated.
