Marie (Boughton) Thomas

Marie Boughton Thomas, age 71, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, June 18, 2020 at her home.

She was born in New York on May 6, 1949 to the late Clarence Boughton.  Her mother died at an early age.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald G. Thomas.  Marie worked many years for Carolina Steele and just adored her great-grandchildren who called her “GiGi”.  She enjoyed vacationing at the mountains and beach and loved animals.

She is survived by her son Eric James Pederson and wife Deborah of High Point, NC; siblings Connie, Clarence, Frank and Teddy; granddaughter Christina Miller and great-grandchildren Colton and Eric Miller.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
