Margie Lillian Rubin

Margie Lillian Seagroves Rubin, age 78, of Carthage, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Mrs. Rubin was born in Chatham County on Dec. 17, 1941 to the late William Wharton Seagroves and Mary Jefferies Seagroves.  She worked as a clerk for Royster Clark Supply Store for many years.  She was preceded in death by her sister Irene Patterson; brothers, Joe, Ed, Frankie, Charles, and Horton Seagroves.

Surviving relatives include her husband William Stanton Rubin, Jr. of the home; a son, Chris Cameron and wife Angela of Fuquay-Varina; a brother Larry Seagroves and wife Treva of Goldston; sisters Ollie Marie Macko of Sanford, Lula Frances Braswell of Carthage, and Mary Elizabeth Wilmoth and husband Wayne of Sanford; grandchildren, Catherine Cameron and Carrie Cameron.

A graveside service will be held at Farmville Cemetery on Wed., July 29, 2020, at 11AM with Pastor Eugene Ussery officiating.  The family will speak to friends following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 632 McCrimmon Rd, Carthage, NC  28327.
