Lux Wayne Lett

Lux Wayne Lett, 87, of Bruce Coggins Road, born August 21, 1934, died November 3, 2021 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford after a short stay in Westfield Rehab.

A native of Lee County, Lux attended Broadway School where he met Honor Rea Christian and they married January 31, 1953. Last year they observed 67 years of marriage before her death on December 15, 2020.

Lux is survived by three children, Diane Lett Thomas and husband Russell of Sanford, Allan Wayne Lett and wife Darlene of Siler City, and Treasure Lett of North Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren, Brad Thomas(Ginger), Lisa Thomas Womble (Jason), Phillip Lett, Sarah Lett, Daniel Lett (Bethany) and Dustin Lett; (KayTea) and great grandchildren, Madisyn Lett, Taylor Lett, Destry Lett, Conner and Charlie Lett, Dylan Thomas, and Julie Thomas; sister-in-law Debbie and husband Mike Hutchens, brother-in-law Junior Christian and wife Ila; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

In addition to his wife Honor Rea, Lux was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Lett, his grandparents, Willie Puzie and Verta Lillian Cox Lett, one son, Kenneth Dale Lett, one grandson Charlie, and one sister, Maxine Thomas Patterson.

Lux retired from Allied Chemical, enjoyed working for Toyota, and owned Lett Mobile Home Rentals for more than 40 years.  Lux enjoyed spending time with his family and going to the beach.  Lux had strong faith, trusted the Lord for many years, and has been a member of Grace Chapel Church since 1962.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Chapel Church.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joel Murr officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
