Lorraine Adelaide (Bye) DiGeorgio

Lorraine Adelaide Bye DiGeorgio, age 85, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Central Carolina Hospital.

 She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 18, 1936 to the late Robert Rush Bye and Lilla Adelaide Hoopes Bye.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John DiGeorgio and a son William Russell Johnston.  Lorraine worked many years as a hairdresser, which was her passion.

She is survived by her daughters Barbara Lehrner and husband Terry and Arlene Smith and husband Bruce all of Florida; son Robert Johnston of Sanford; sister Nancy Bye of Sanford; brother Robert Bye of South Carolina; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Hillview Christian Assembly from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ray Bodin officiating.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
