Lori Jones Mauldin

Lori Jones Mauldin, age 47, of Sanford, NC passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at UNC Hospitals.

 

She was born in Lee County, NC on July 3, 1975 to William “Bill” Riley Jones, III and Jane Phillips Jones.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving children Nate Mauldin, Jacob Mauldin and wife Haley and Peyton Mauldin all of Sanford; sister Lisa Jones Patrick and husband Earle of Sanford; and nephews and nieces Jayne-Anne Patrick, Matthew Riley Patrick, Logan Caroline Patrick and Joshua Eric Patrick.

 

Lori grew up in Sanford and graduated in the 1993 Class of Lee Senior High School.  She was very active including being a cheerleader, gymnast and dancer.  Following high school, Lori attended Meredith College then transferred to Sandhills Community College where she earned her RN degree in nursing in 1998.  More than anything, Lori loved her children, nieces, nephews and family.  She was always at the ballfield or attending her children’s extracurricular activities.  Lori will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Jonesboro Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the family home.
