Lois (Hobson) Patterson

Lois Hobson Patterson, age 87, of Broadway, NC, died Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Liberty Commons Retirement Center in Sanford, NC.

She was born in Hoke County, NC on December 3, 1932 to the late Dewey Hobson and Virgie Alice Hennings Hobson.  Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Patterson; son Wayne McDonald; brother David Hobson; sisters Ruth Wells, Mildred Buchanan; and a daughter-in-law Renee Patterson.

Lois was retired from Moen and was known for her good cooking.  Family and friends were always welcomed to her table to join in a meal.  She liked to tend flower and vegetable gardens.  Among her other likes was spending time with her mom and sisters making quilts for family and friends.

She is survived by her sons Jeff Patterson and wife Susan, Mickey Patterson, Scott Patterson and wife Teresa; daughter-in-law Susan McDonald; 8 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private graveside service will be handled by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home for immediate family.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church, 385 Holly Springs Church Rd., Broadway, NC 27505 or to a charity of one’s choice.
