Linda Delores "Dee" (Caviness) Jacobs

Linda Delores “Dee” Caviness Jacobs, age 76, of Goldston, NC, died Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the FirstHealth Hospice House in Moore County, NC.

She was born in Lee County, NC on April 20, 1944 to the late Robert Earl Caviness and Pauline Spivey Caviness.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Malcolm Rufus Carroll and John Wayne Jacobs; son Bradley Rufus Carroll; brother William Robert Caviness and a special brother-in-law Fletcher Phillips.

Dee worked 15 years in the textile industry before working alongside her sister, Juanita Phillips, at Skill Creations in Sanford.  She was a God-Fearing woman who loved fishing, hummingbirds, her family and everyone she met. She also loved her cats Baby and Prissy. Dee was kindhearted- never forgetting to send a birthday card or sympathy card to family and friends.   She will be missed.

She is survived by sons Chris Carroll and companion Sylvia Jean Watson of Gulf, NC, Melvin Scott Carroll and wife Eratta of Lake Charles, LA; daughter Robin Carroll Smyth of Lillington, NC; sister Juanita Phillips of Sanford; special uncle Raymond Shackelford of Kentucky; grandchildren Danyell Lewis and Steven, Bradley Carroll, Toni Carroll and James, Candice Liverman, Brandon Carroll and Jasmine, Tyler Liverman and Casi, Christopher Carroll II; ten-great-grandchildren and many special cousins.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Andy Foley officiating.  Inurnment of cremains will follow at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.
