Linda Sue (Carroll) Coombs

Linda Carroll Coombs, age 60, of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at home surrounded by family.

She was born in Hickory, NC on December 21, 1957 to the late Hiram Carroll Jr. and Elizabeth Sue Hatley Carroll.  She was also preceded in death by her step-mother Barbara Langley.  Linda was a waitress and once worked at Jim’s Restaurant in Sanford.

She is survived by sons Lynwood Earl Coombs Jr. and wife Linda of Johnsonville, NC, William Earl Coombs and wife Alicia of Hampstead, NC, daughter Frances Elizabeth Hooper and husband Timothy of Leland, NC; brother Hiram “Sonny” Carroll III and wife Sherry of Sanford; and fifteen grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
