Linda Carter Obituary

Linda Allen Blalock Carter, age 76, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born in Lee County, NC on December 3, 1943 to the late Charles Allen Blalock and Ruth Elizabeth Covert Stutts.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy N. Carter; and sister Marlene Blalock. Linda worked for Moen and was a member of Flat Springs Baptist Church. She was known for her love of puzzles and search-a-word.  At the beach, you could find her on the Surf City Pier fishing.  She will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her children; Melinda Kim Black and husband Ricky of Sanford, Jimmy Dale Carter of Sanford and fiancé Sandra, Robin J. Chippewa and husband Joey of Sanford, Randell N. Carter and wife Debbie of Sanford; brothers Charles Goins and wife Hope of Carthage, Gary Blalock and wife Paula of Sanford, Larry Stutts and wife Beth of Sanford and brother Harold Campbell and wife Karen of Sanford; sisters Terry Blalock Dinkins and husband Tommy of Sanford, Pam Blalock Kos and husband Tim of Sanford; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 13, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The family asks that you observe all COVID precautions and leave the area as soon as you speak to the family to allow other friends the enter the funeral home and pay their respects.  At other times, the family will also be at Linda’s home

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Flat Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Cole officiating.
