Leah Joy (Everett) Perry

Leah Joy Everett Perry, age, 63, of Sanford, NC, died Monday, April 26, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 30, 1957 to the late Loren Everett and Oma Holman Everett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Stephen Everett and David Everett. Leah was a beautiful musician. She was still learning and taking piano lessons to perfect her craft. She was a paid pianist for Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church and worked as an office assistant and media specialist for First Baptist Church of Sanford. Leah will be missed for being the smiling and kind face, to members and guest, during the week at First Baptist.

She is survived by her loving husband Daryl Perry; sister Rebekah Shannon and husband Dale of Nova Scotia, Canada; sister-in-law Marie Everette of Florida; special aunt and uncle Frank Holman and wife Amiee of Richmond, Indiana and their sons Marty, Mike and Matt Holman. Leah is also survived Daryl’s parents J.C. and Jean Perry of Sanford.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and at other times at Daryl’s home, 645 Cotton Rd., Sanford, NC 27330. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 30th at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Sanford with Dr. Sam Roach, Dr. Calvin Sayles and Rev. Marty Holman officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

There is limited seating in the church due to COVID but no limit to the number of friends at Lee Memory Gardens for the committal service. If seating inside the church is full, you are welcome to gather at the cemetery.
