Larry Ray Harrington

Larry Ray Harrington, age 78, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Transitions LifeCare, Raleigh, NC.

He was born in Lee County on September 5, 1947 to the late George Vernon Harrington and Betty Mae Stone Harrington.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers George Vernon Harrington, Jr., Gordon “Moe” Harrington, Bobby Wade Harrington, Glynn Foster Harrington, Kenneth Wayne Harrington, and sisters, Betty Joyce Harrington Baxley, Patsy Louise Harrington.

Larry was the co-owner of the family chicken business and he also operated a lawn care business, before his retirement.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors.

He Is survived by his brother Jimmy Harrington; sister, Bonnie Mae Sutton and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Robert Thomas officiating.

No formal visitation with the family is scheduled, but for those choosing to pay respects, you may do so at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 3:45 PM.
