Kent Linford

Kent Linford, age 81, of Sanford, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Autumn Care of Fayetteville, NC.

He was born in Afton, Wyoming on June 19, 1944 to the late Albert Hess Linford and Glenna Lemmon Linford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Martha “Marti” Lane Wagoner Linford and sisters Margie and Blanch.

Kent served our country in the United States Navy and was deployed to Guam during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was a missionary, for two years, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He retired from Coty as a Plant Engineer.

He is survived by sons Richard Gary Linford, James Albert Linford, Julian Scott Linford, William Kristopher Linford (Veronica); brothers Arthur, George, Dallas, Lindy, Ronald and grandchildren Analise, Ian, Victor and Gareth.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 27, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 at 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park, 4039 South Church Street, Burlington, NC 27215 at 3:00 PM.
