Kenneth "Round Man" Travis

Kenneth “Round Man” Travis, age 79, of Sanford, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Barry County, Michigan on May 15, 1942 to the late Earl Frank Travis and Elma M. Yackley Travis.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, of 54 years, Peggy Joyce Porter Travis who passed in 2019.  Ken and his late-wife Peggy, worked together in their family owned and operated business, Travis Mobile Home and Flag Car Service.  He was also preceded in death by his step-mother Marie Travis.  Ken served our country in the United States Army.

He is survived by sons Rick Travis and wife Sandy of Michigan, Kenneth Knight and wife Karen of Sanford; daughters Pam Mahaffey and husband Rufus of West End, Diane Travis and special friend Keith Bruehl of Sanford; brother Raymond Travis and special friend Cora Reed of Ohio; sister Marge Roberts of Michigan; his fur-baby Skittles; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Buffalo Cemetery with Richard Porter officiating.  The body will be available for viewing Friday, May 28th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  There will not be a formal visitation.
