Keith "Pete" Wilson Smith

Keith “Pete” Wilson Smith, age 70, of Sanford, NC, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Forsyth County, NC on August 17, 1950 to the late Thurman Wilson Smith and Juanita Ola Gardner Smith.  His aunt and uncle, Reaves and Faye Gardner, raised Keith. Reaves and Keith’s parents have preceded him in death.  Keith was a huge NC State fan and had worked towards receiving his Bachelor’s Degree.  He worked many years for GKN and Parker Hannifin (Zenith Pumps) as a design draftsman.  His favorite place to visit was Holden Beach where he had many friends.  Most importantly he loved his two girls Ryan and Brittany.   He will be missed.

Keith is survived by his daughters Ryan Ashley Ross of Harker Heights, TX, Brittany Ann Smith of Sanford; grandchildren Ashton Cole Ross of Raleigh, NC, Finley Knox Smith of Sanford; aunt who raised Keith, Faye Gardner of Winston-Salem and sister Judy Ann Haynes and husband Raymond of Browns Summit, NC.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 5:00 PM with Rev. Brian Caldwell officiating.
