Kay Eudy

Kay Eudy, age 65, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Central Carolina Hospital with her family and hospital friends by her side.

She was born in Lee County to the late Julius Lee “Bud” Eudy and Janie Ann Fulford Eudy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Sherri Lee Black. 

Kay was a much-loved hospital employee in the Emergency Department at Central Carolina Hospital for 27 years.  She was known by so many people in our community and was a people-person with a funny personality that made working in the ED department a better place.  Her favorite hobby was BINGO.  You could find her at many local BINGO places however, she loved her family more.

She is survived by her husband, of 15 years, Malvin Lee Rivers, III; children Jennifer Ann Eudy of Sanford, Travis Hulen Rivers (Barbara) of Jacksonville, NC, Kelsey Rivers Ruiz (Orlando) of Lakehurst, NJ; grandchildren Sadie, Andrew, Jaxon, and Zavian; and many beloved cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Crossroads Ministries in Broadway with a Celebration of Life following at 4:00 PM with Pastor John Sauls, III “J3” and Pastor Chris Pipes officiating.
