Kathleen Marie (Knight) Lyons

Kathleen Marie Knight-Lyons, age 54, of Sanford, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Glens Falls, NY on April 1, 1969 to Peter Michael Knight and Diana Stemp Ransom.  Her father preceded her in death.

Kathleen was a kind and caring person.  She graduated from Merritt Island High School in Florida and Toccoa Falls College in Georgia.  Kathleen worked as a Social Worker for Monterey County California.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, flowers, cooking, gardening, friends and she especially loved her family, her cats and her dog.  She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Richard Lee Lyons, Jr.; brother James Knight; sister Kimberly Robinson and husband Paul; sisters-in-law Michelin and Karl; VanLear and Patty and Carlos Sing.  She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at a later date and will be announced at that time.
