Judy (McNeill) Douglas

Judy McNeill Douglas, age 83, of Sanford, NC, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Central Carolina Hospital, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lee County, NC on September 29, 1938 to the late Dallas McNeill and Alice Mae Patterson McNeill.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Cecil Roy McNeill, Duncan McNeill, and Russell McNeill.  Judy worked many years for Coty and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the Prime-Timers Club.  Grandma Judy was one of a kind and became a grandmother to everyone she met.  She enjoyed eating at The Landmark and was known for her excellent cooking and crocheting.

She is survived by her children; Billy R. Douglas and wife Vickie, Darlene Douglas and Claudia Cook, Kent Douglas and fiancé Lisa Patterson, Kelly Douglas and wife Angela; grandchildren Amanda Douglas, Amber Douglas, Adam Douglas, Michelle Douglas, Hunter Douglas, Kelsey Douglas all of Sanford; great-grandchildren Gracie Douglas, Carson Douglas, Ryder Martinez; brothers Clarence “Buddy” McNeill and wife Darlene of Sanford, Kelly McNeill and wife Judy of Indiana and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holly Springs Baptist Church and other times at the family home.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jerry Parsons and Rev. Scott Yow officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
