Judith Marie (Wilson) Godfrey

Judith W. Godfrey, of North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2022, at her son’s home.

She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on December 29, 1944, to the late Carlie Joseph Wilson and Beulah Mae Limbaugh.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Johnny M Godfrey; two sons, Carlie Dale Godfrey and Mark Anthony Godfrey; a daughter Angelia Gail Godfrey; a granddaughter, Carlie Nichole Marquina.  Mrs. Godfrey worked as an Accountant until her retirement.

She is survived by sons, Johnny Scott Godfrey of Albemarle, Randall Scott Godfrey of Sanford and Billy Justin Godfrey and Kandice of Anniston, AL; a daughter, Amber Gail Godfrey Buiwe of Albemarle; nine grandchildren, Chasitie Aleman, Brittany Burch, Kera Buiwe, Dixie Buiwe, Lacey Brantley, Evan Morton, Harrison Godfrey, Ellie Godfrey, and Jamison Godfrey; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, 11AM at the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Dr. Gail Dickens officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home from 10AM until the funeral hour.  Burial will follow at New Life Church Cemetery.
