Joyce Marie (Thomas) Thomas

Joyce Marie Thomas Thomas, age 88, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, June 25, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Harnett County on March 9, 1932 to the late Harvey Thomas and Annie Lee Seawell Thomas.  Mrs. Thomas was an owner and operator of a Happy Day Nursery.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, of 57 years, Clyde Lester Thomas; sons, Danny and Ricky Thomas; a set of twin boys and a set of twin girls; and a brother Harvey Thomas, Jr.  She graduated from Benhaven High School and was a member of Olivia Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her son David Scott Thomas of Broadway; her daughter, Diane Williams and Everett (Willie) of Sanford; brothers, Jerry Thomas and Isabell of Mamers and Jimmy Thomas and Anne of Richmond; sisters, Joanne Kelly of York Town, VA and Jeanette Fields of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Jason Williams and Amy, Crystal Kerns and Ronald, Aaron Shafer and Jen Blodgett and Tim; great-grandchildren, Chase Williams and Halie, Ashley Lett and Jared, Kayla Williams, Karsyn Kerns, Duke Kerns, Emersyn Kerns, Talin and Ryker Blodgett, Lillian Shafer, and Abigail Shafer; and a great-great grandchildren Ellie Lett and Riley Williams.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June, 28, 2020, 4PM at Olivia Presby. Church with Rev. Bob Johnson and Rev. George Walton presiding.  A visitation will be held from 3 to 4PM also at the church.
