Joshua "Josh" Lynn Moore

Joshua “Josh” Lynn Moore, age 40, of Sanford, NC, passed away, as a result of a car accident, Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

He was born in Sanford, NC to his parents Bobby “Robbie” Moore and Beverly Yow Thompson.

Josh was employed with Southern Veneer Specialty Products and loved his job.  He loved his vehicles and putting his own touch on all the ones he had.  He loved his cat Bullet!  He loved to grab his fishing pole and go fishing every day he could.  He had the biggest heart and loved everyone!  Josh thought a lot of his best friend Tommy South and his mom Estelle Douglas.  He will surely be missed.

Mr. Moore is survived by his dad Robbie Moore (Julie Goodman, Sherry Klingman) and Beverly Yow Thompson and step-father Denny Thompson; brothers Jorden Moore (Kimberly), Jason Moore all of Sanford; sister Felicia (Erick) Auer of High Falls; step-brother Brandon (Kyrie) Thompson and Brittany Dowless all of Elizabethtown.  He is also survived by aunts and uncles Toni (John) Ross, Jonathan (Jodi) Yow, Glenn Phillips, Andy Webb; nieces Kendal Serrano, Kamryn Auer, Piper Thompson, Kaitlynn Moore, Sophia Moore, Natalee Thomas, Brianna Thomas; nephews Buddy Auer, Joey Dowless, Luke Dowless, Beckett Thompson, Karter Moore and many cousins and extended family.

A visitation will be held at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The family will also be receiving family and friends at 2 residences; his dad’s house @ 70 Hearn Lane, Sanford and his mom’s sister’s house @ 47 Stihl Saw Lane, Sanford.

A graveside service will be held at Crains Creek Cemetery in Cameron, NC on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Greg Poplin officiating.

Family and friends will line up at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Saturday at 9:00 AM sharp, in order to proceed to the cemetery.
