Jolene Johnson

Jolene Johnson, age 87, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away peacefully in her home of 30 years on Monday, July 25, 2022. Born on June 23, 1935 in Greensboro, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Iola Criscoe Carter.

Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, Herman Colon Johnson; son, Christopher Hicks (Vickie) of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; step-son, Lynn Johnson of Reidsville, North Carolina; step-son, Randy Johnson (Lisa) of Longs, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brad Hicks (Gabie) of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina, Crystal Sutton (Brooks) of Greenville, North Carolina, Christopher and Kimberly Johnson of Greensboro, North Carolina, Hillary Vernon (Kyle) of High Point, North Carolina, Kayla Johnson of Marion, Indiana, Christa Bowman (Blake) of Mint Hill, North Carolina; as well as seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved with all of her heart. Her parents, preceded Jolene in death along with her two sisters, Magdalene Seawell and Ernestine Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Grace Chapel Church Cemetery in Sanford, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lawndale Baptist Church – 3505 Lawndale Drive Greensboro, North Carolina 27408.
