Johnny Earl Beck

Johnny Earl Beck, age 62, of Sanford, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

He was born in Chatham County on July 13, 1960, to the late Cecil Earl Beck and Geneva Hilliard Beck.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Penny Beck Spencer.  Johnny worked in maintenance at Spanco. He loved to fish, hunt, and was always building or working on things.  He loved to ride his motorcycle in his free time, but most of all, he loved his family over everything.  Johnny was a loving husband, and an amazing father and grandfather.  He was taken too soon but he will forever be with us in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wanda Odom Beck; daughters, Misty Beck of Hawaii and Britany Beck of Carthage; sisters, Shirley Jordan of Bear Creek and Helen Emery of Harmony; brother, Carl Spencer of Robbins and one special grandson, Jaylen Beck.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
