John Hugh Cameron, age 82, of Lillington, NC, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Emerald Health & Rehab Center in Lillington, NC.

He was born in Harnett County, NC on March 27, 1938 to the late James Cameron and Sarah Ann McNeill Cameron.  In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his wife – of over 45 years - Barbara Jean Cheek Cameron and sister Catherine C. Adcock of Lillington.

John Hugh Cameron, age 82, of Lillington, NC, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Emerald Health & Rehab Center in Lillington, NC.

John owned and operated John Hugh Cameron Yard Service in Raleigh, NC for many years.

He is survived by siblings Frances C. Regan of Raleigh, NC, Ruth C. Cox of Broadway, NC, Rachel C. Lewis of Fuquay-Varina/Cary, NC, Barbara C. Hester (Ralph) of Wilson, NC; James Cameron, Jr. (Marilyn) of Lakeland, FL, Charles L. Cameron of Broadway, NC; numerous nieces, nephews and special Amish friends in Pennsylvania.

Memorial services for John will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be sent to Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home to defray final expenses, 600 W. Main Street, Sanford, NC 27332.
