Jimmy Womble Obituary

Jimmy Neil Womble, age 77, of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at his home. He was born in Lee County, NC, on April 21, 1943 to the late Willie C. Womble and Erselle B. Womack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew Walter D. Spivey and his step-father Worthy C. Womack.

He is survived by his daughter Jamie N. Womble of Juneau, Alaska; sister Sylvia W. Spivey and husband David of Sanford; brother Michael C. Womack of Sanford, niece Crystal S. Burke of Newport, NC, and great nephews Austin and Taylor Burke.

He was a devoted member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 724 Beaver Creek, Apex, NC, 27502. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
