Jessie James Stone, age 59, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on May 5, 1961 to the late Walter James Stone and Eva Mae Watson Stone.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Walter James “Jimbo” Stone, Jr. and Jerry Ray Stone.  Jessie worked in the construction industry.  He worked for Redman Homes, St. Charles Kitchens and lastly worked for Ronnie Turner Construction. ...

Jessie James Stone, age 59, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on May 5, 1961 to the late Walter James Stone and Eva Mae Watson Stone.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Walter James “Jimbo” Stone, Jr. and Jerry Ray Stone.  Jessie worked in the construction industry.  He worked for Redman Homes, St. Charles Kitchens and lastly worked for Ronnie Turner Construction.  He was always willing to help others and helped everyone that he could.  He was so easy going and enjoyed watching old westerns on TV, candy and sweets, friends and being outside with nature. 

He is survived by his step-mother Juanita Akers and husband Cliff of Greenwood, SC; siblings Linda Yow and husband Marshall of Sanford, NC, James Stone and wife Diana of Lowndesville, SC, Jan Townsend and husband Curtis of Hodges, SC, Royce Allen Wicker of Carthage, NC and Jerry Lee Allen of Sanford, NC.
