Jerry Wayne Collins, age 72, of Blanch, NC, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Duke Hospice, Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, NC.
He was born in Lee County, NC on July 28, 1953 to the late Collie Collins and Louise Thomas Collins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Carlie “Punk” Collins and Donnie Collins.
Jerry was a jack-of-all-trades. He could do anything from logging, woodworking and electrical work. Jerry enjoyed whittling wood and crafting walking canes. He loved his dog “Little Girl” and would ride her around on his John Deere lawn mower.
He is survived by siblings Ann Tart, Brenda Wall, Debbie Woodson (Thomas, Sr.), Ray Collins (Cathy), Earl Collins (Sandra), Mike Collins (Tammy), Terry Collins (Susie) and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 9, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Cemetery.
