Jerry Blalock

Jerry Blalock, age 72, of Broadway, NC, died Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital.

He was born in Lee County, NC on April 26, 1948 to the late Joseph Victor Blalock and Margaret McDuffie Blalock.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Larry Joe Blalock, Sr.  Jerry was a long-haul truck driver for many years.  Before retirement Jerry worked for Cooper Mechanical. He was a devoted son, proud dad and grandfather and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his sons Billy Blalock and wife Rachelle of Lillington, Wayne Blalock and wife Zasette of Broadway; mother of his children Bonnie Vought; brother Jack and wife Debbie of Broadway; grandchildren Stephanie, Christopher, Hannah, Marc, Edward, Danielle, David, Emily and great-grandchildren Cloud, Liam and Liliana.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 6, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Paul Backlund and Pastor Pearl Castleberry officiating.  Burial will follow at Broadway Town Cemetery.
