Jeannie Irene Kernes

Jeannie Irene Kernes, age 76, of Sanford, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

She was born in Hickory, North Carolina to the late Luther Edwards and Lela D. Edwards.

Jeannie enjoyed working with the residents at Keller’s Oakhaven Rest Home and  her almost daily visits to The Dairy Bar for dinner.  She lived her simple life to the fullest and will be missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by son, Donald Ray Kernes, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Co.; granddaughters Dustlyn McNeill (Jay) and  Skylar Kernes and great-grandchildren Azze and Charlotte.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025  at 12:00 PM at Lee Memory Gardens.
