Jean (Cook) Poe

Jean Cook Poe, age 76, of Sanford, NC, died Friday, May 3, 2019 at her home.

She was born in Roberson County, NC on September 4, 1942.  Her parents Robert F. Cook, H.C. Hilliard and Mildred Pittman Hilliard preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by siblings Freddy Cook and Elizabeth Davis Nipper.  Jean was the office manager for Lee Memory Gardens for many years and she loved to play BINGO – and won.

She is survived by son Gregory Kelly; nephews Donnie Rhodes and wife Gwen, Bobby Rumbley and wife Lorie; grandchildren Devon Wicker and husband Tracy, Gregory Kelly Jr. and wife Bobbie; and great-grandchildren Courtney Wicker, Tracy Wicker Jr., Aleigha Kelly, Andrew Kelly and Caylee Jaye Wicker.  All her family is of Sanford.
