Jean Fore Obituary

Jean Kelly Fore, age 94, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Parkview Retirement Center.

She was born in Lee County on August 1, 1926 to the late James Alton Kelly and Annie Bogan Kelly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Truman Fore, Sr. and ten siblings.

Jean was a charter member of Hunt Springs Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school.

Jean is survived by children, Brenda F. Turnipseed of Cary, Dr. Lavonne Kelly Fore and husband, J. Mack Karesh of Charleston, SC, George T. Fore, Jr. and partner, Joyce K. Almond of Raleigh, John B. Fore and wife, Cynthia of Travelers Rest, SC and Ann F. Howell and husband, Wes of Sanford; grandchildren, Gabriel Fore, Elizabeth Fore, Luke Fore, Kelly Alcock and Andrew Howell and great-grandchildren, Claire Alcock, Truman Fore and Oliver Fore.

A private graveside service will be held with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date.
