Janice Evelyn (Whitaker) Goodwin

Janice Evelyn Whitaker White Goodwin, age 79, of Carthage, NC died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Peak Resources.

She was born in Lee County on February 12, 1941 to the late Arthur Whitaker and Jewel Clark Whitaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Clifford White and Dan Goodwin; brothers, Jimmy Whitaker, Herman Whitaker and Jerry Whitaker and sisters, Faye McLeod and Rebecca Whitaker. 

Janice is survived by a son, James Lee White and wife, Sharyn of High Point; daughters, Donna Cox and Robert Beal of Sanford, Lora Street and husband, Greg of Sanford and Elaine Ferree and husband, Bradley of Carthage; sister, Brenda Hall of Cameron and grandchildren, Drew Street, Elizabeth Olive, Avery Ferree, Aiden Ferree and Landon Ferree.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Barbecue Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. David Sherrod officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and at other times they will be at the home of Lora and Greg Street, 1160 Hoover Road, Sanford.
