James "Jim" Wayne Baca, age 78 passed to his eternal home on May 14, 2024 at First Health Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC
James was born May 1,1946 in Chickasha, OK to William and Dorothy Baca of Universal City, Texas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Baca and brother, William Baca, Jr. After serving in the U.S. Army for 3 years James worked at Allied Signal/Performance Fibers for 37 years. In retirement he enjoyed reading and many DIY projects. He was a long time member of Grace Chapel Church where he served in many church ministries. James is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ola Baca; sisters, Katheran Dreher, Universal City, TX; Jeanne Morgan, Checotah, OK; Theresa (Larry) Spears, Hutto, TX; Patty (Ed) Waldon, Franklin, TX; Monica (Tad) Eaton, Converse, TX; brothers, Matthew Baca, Seattle, WA; Paul (April) Baca Westcliffe, CO. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Grace Chapel Church from 12:30 to 1:45 pm. The Celebration of life Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Joel Murr officiating. Burial will follow in The Grace Chapel Church cemetery. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of First Health Hospice & Palliative Care, Pinehurst, NC for their excellent care and loving support during James's illness.
