James "Ed" Edward Bullard

James Edward “Ed” Bullard, age 93, of Sanford, NC, died Monday, January 20, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on October 22, 1926 to the late James Addison Bullard and Macie Fincher Bullard.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Curtis Bullard.  Ed served our country in the United States Army during WW II and was a successful tobacco farmer.  He could fix anything and loved working with dirt and tractors, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Thelma Donathan Bullard; sons James Edward Bullard, Jr. and wife Evelyn, Alvin Mitchell Bullard; daughter Gail Bullard Griffin and husband Ben; brother Gary S. Bullard and wife Estelle; five step-children; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with the funeral service following at 2:00 in the chapel with Mr. Travis Corley officiating.  Burial will follow at White Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery with military honors.
