James Harold Wright

James Harold Wright, age 77, of Broadway, NC, died Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Harrison County, West Virginia on April 20, 1943 to the late William Russel Wright and Mary Elizabeth Trotter Wright.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Agnes Jean Mangam and brother Raymond Russell Wright.  James served our country in the United States Army for 23 years.  He was a member of the following organizations and served in many positions for each; Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, VFW and was a 32-degree Mason.  He served as a Veterans Service Officer many years ago also.  He was very active until his health declined.

James is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Wooten Wright; sons Harold Lynn Wright and wife Melissa of Broadway, William Scot Wright and Kimberley of Broadway; sister Patricia Ann Lewis of Johnstown, WV; brother David Lynn Wright and wife Chris of Mt. Clare, WV; grandchildren Jessica Johnson and husband Jonathan of Bear Creek, NC, Christopher Wright and wife Sherrie of South Port, NC, Brandie Wells of Raleigh, Brandon Wright of Clayton; and great-grandchildren Landan, Jordan, Kaylee, Laythan and Daltan.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Chris Wroten officiating.
