James Bernard Embry

James Bernard Embry, age 47, of Broadway, NC, died Sunday, July 19, 2020 at UNC Hospital.

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 27, 1973. His father, James Michael Embry, preceded him in death.  James worked for Frontier Spinning Mills for 17 years and loved the outdoors and was an active fisherman. He was a kind and giving person to those in need.  James had many friends across the United States and overseas.

James was a proud father of 4 children; Hayden Chayce Embry of Broadway, Logan Bryce Embry of Broadway, Michelle Dominique Embry-Luark and husband Chris of Tennessee, Sarah Kaitlyn Embry-Poe and husband Matthew of Maryland. He was very active in their lives and a loving husband, of 22 years, to Melanie Dawn Dinger Embry.  He is also survived by his mother Rita Dianne Lee and husband Harvey Glenn Lee, III of Sanford and a brother Anthony Dale Embry of Broadway and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.  A memorial service will follow at 7:30.
