Jackie Lee (Jack) Treadway

Jackie (Jack) Lee Treadway, age 86 of Sanford, N.C. passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 18th 2025.

Jack was born in Moxahala, OH on April 18th 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents Cline and Loretta Musik Treadway and siblings Barbara, Rita, and Roger Treadway. He is survived by his wife Sharon Treadway and brothers Dick (Carol), Ronald, and Randy Treadway, all from Ohio.

Jack and Sharon raised their 3 boys on a farm in Ohio where they taught them good values and provided a very loving home.

Jack lived to the fullest and made several achievements. In 1985 he opened a chain of pawn shops in Tampa, Fl. In the early 90's he bought a ranch in New Mexico and raised Quarter horses to race at Ruiodoso downs. In the 2000's he moved to Ocala, FL where his most recent profession was breeding Thoroughbred race horses with over 100 wins in his career.

Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a man that you always knew was in the room as his personality was as big as his heart.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Sharon Cartwright Treadway; sons Greg Treadway (Colleen) of Sanford N.C., Shawn Treadway (Cara) of Tampa Fl, Glen Treadway (Ann) of Pensacola, Fl; Grandchildren Amber (Jason) Schmidt, Wes Ward, Josh, Shane (Rachel),Alissa, Gregory, Faith, Matthew, Megan, Stephen, Shawn, Tyler, Ashley and Liam Treadway; Great grandchildren Kylie Ward, Lily and Tommy Treadway.

A memorial service will be held at the Bridges & Cameron funeral home chapel on Saturday March 1st, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
