Jack Olive Hall, age 93, of Sanford, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Sanford Health & Rehab with his family by his side.
He was born in Lee County, NC on May 29, 1930 to the late George Alton Hall and Mary Edna (Hall) Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Key Hall; son John Wesley Hall and siblings Coley Hall, Ray Hall, Madie White, Ralph Hall and Roy Hall. Jack was the last of his loving siblings. He along with his wife owned and operated Halls Floor & Wall Covering. Following that business, they owned Factory Carpet Outlet. Jack was also an entrepreneur and a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoyed investing in real estate also. His favorite hobby was flying his own cub airplane, back in the early years.
Jack was a long-time member of Sanford Church of God and served in many areas of the church in his younger years. He lived his life for the Lord & Savior. He was a witness to everyone he met and people adored him, especially his grandchildren. He was most proud of his lovely daughter Anita and he will be missed by so many family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter Anita Hall Leggette and husband Ferrell; grandchildren Bradley Wright (Raechel), Alex Leggette, Austin Leggette (Whitney); step-grandchildren Cayce Leggette Clark (Chris), Jordan Leggette (Kristin); great-grandchildren Brynlee Wright, Parker Wright, Georgia-Ann Leggette; step-great-grandchildren Charlotte Clark, Channing Clark, Karli Marshall , Cohen Marshall and Jaxon Connor.
The family will receive friends at Sanford Church of God on Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Tim Lanier and Pastor Neal Jackson officiating. Burial will follow Monday, May 27th at 11:00 AM at Grace Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will also be receiving friends at the home of Anita and Ferrell Leggette.
