Jack O’Briant Farrell, age 92, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born February 7, 1933 to the late Joseph Augustus Farrell and Lura Ann Dawkins Farrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Turner Mitchell Farrell; twin-sister JoAnn Farrell Wessling and son Dean Farrell. Jack graduated from Deep River School and served our country in the United States Army. He owned and operated Jack O. Farrell Construction and operated the first metal building franchise in Lee County. He enjoyed horses and was a talented artist, especially oil paintings.
He is survived by his daughter Jill Farrell Holt (Michael) and all of his loving family.
A graveside service will be held at Zion Christian Church Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating, on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM. There will be no formal visitation but you are welcome to visit at the family home.
