Holly (Hall) Rainey

Holly Hall Rainey, age 66, of Sanford, NC, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation.

She was born in Lee County, NC on January 19, 1960 to the late Dewey Autry Hall and Jean Carter Hall.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Crystal Sheree Childs, brother Terry Hall and niece Karen Hall Gilmore.

Holly worked many years for SAAB Manufacturing in Lillington and was a member of Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed woodworking, making grapevine wreaths, gathering and relaxing by the lake or beach, animals, children and butterflies.  She loved her precious dog, Raschal.

Holly is survived by many extended family including nephew Michael Hall and wife Sarah and their sons Joshua & Jackson; great-nephews Michael Gilmore, Jr. and Carter Gilmore; aunts and uncles Margaret Altman, Romey Hall and Vaugus Wayne Hall; cousins Faith Butler, David Carter and wife Gail (Holly’s best friend), Linda Buchanan, Maxine Hilliard and Pat Warren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Vaugus Wayne Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
