Helen Elizabeth (Rosser) Rogers

Helen Elizabeth Rosser Rogers, age 95, of Sanford, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024.

She was born in Harnett County, NC on September 1, 1928 to the late Lewis Carr Rosser, Sr. and Willie Louise Davis Rosser.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Marshall Rogers; brother Lewis Carr Rosser, Jr., and sisters Louise Rosser Cameron and Mildred Rosser Cotten.

Mrs. Rogers was a long-time member of Barbecue Presbyterian Church.  She also worked at Womack Army Hospital for 32 years as a Surgical Dental Assistant.

She is survived by her daughters Andrea Rogers Wells (John) of Sanford, NC and Vivian Rogers Jenkins (Rev. Al) of Lakeland, Fl; brother Melvin Rosser of Broadway; grandchildren Michael Douglas Jenkins, Katherine Elizabeth Wells Stewart (Derrick) and great-grandchildren Mary Alison Jenkins, Esq., Caelyn Stewart and Ian Stewart.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 2:50 PM in the fellowship hall of Barbecue Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow in the sanctuary at 3:00 PM with Rev. Meg Dudley officiating.  Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
