Harold Wilson Weathers

Harold Weathers, age 90, of Sanford, NC, passed away at his home on Monday, December 8, 2025.

He was born in Harnett County to the late Grover Linton Weathers and Bessie Weathers Taylor.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Grover Weathers, James Weathers and sisters, Vashti Stewart and Eunice Martin. Harold retired from Gaylord Brothers as General Manager.  A longtime member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church, Harold faithfully served as a deacon, offering steady support, compassion, and guidance to his church family. His love of worship extended to the music ministry, where he found great joy in encouraging and uplifting those who shared their musical gifts.

Outside of his service to others, Harold enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him peace. He was an avid fisherman who treasured quiet mornings by the water, and he had a lifelong appreciation for antique cars, delighting in their craftsmanship and history.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Helen Wicker Weathers; son Wilson Weathers and wife, Dawn of Sanford and numerous special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Edgewood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sara Martin officiating.  Friends will be received on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the family home.
