Gwendolyn "Gwen" Doris (Thomas) Patterson

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Thomas Patterson, age 67, of Broadway, NC, died Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Lee County, NC on April 9, 1954 to the late Ernest Brady Thomas and Nellie Womack Thomas.  Gwen was a member of Juniper Springs Baptist Church and retired after 30 years of service as a legal assistant for Post, Foushee, Patton Trial Lawyers (formerly Staton Law Practice).  Gwen was a loving and wonderful wife and mother.  She was a great cook and enjoyed reading on the beach and driving in the mountains

She is survived by her husband Jody Monroe Patterson; son Jordan Thomas Patterson; brother Russell Thomas and step-mother Carolyn Thomas all of Sanford and many other extended families.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The family requests that if you attend the visitation at the funeral home to please make your visit quick and follow all Covid precautions. The funeral service will be held at Juniper Springs Baptist Church Monday, October 18th at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Yarborough and Rev. Eddie Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow at Broadway Town Cemetery.
