Gwendolyn "Gwen" (Cockman) Patterson

Gwendolyn Cockman Patterson, “Gwen”, age 64 of Sanford, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Moore County to the late Robert Edgar Cockman and Patsy Ruth Holder Cockman.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Daniel Cockman and William Cockman.  Gwen worked many years in Nursing prior to her retirement. She  was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family fiercely. Gwen was a beautiful and amazing woman who will be deeply missed.

Gwen is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Terry Patterson; sons James Patterson (Holly) of Fayetteville and Chris Patterson (Sarah) of Sanford; grandchildren Bradley Patterson, Luke 

Patterson, Andrew Patterson, Carson Patterson and Emma Patterson and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. George Akers officiating.
