Gordon Lee Pendry, age 73, of Sanford, NC, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the FirstHealth Hospice House in Moore County.

He was born in Garrison, WV on July 9, 1949 to the late Ralph Pendry and Nellie McKinney Pendry.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Richard E. Eaton and sisters Daisy Mae Ashley and Jacklyn Eaton.  Gordon was an active member of Rocky Fork Christian Church and worked as a security guard for Wackenhut Global Security Company.  He enjoyed working outside and piddling around the house. He also loved animals and would love for you to donate to an animal shelter or help other animals in need in lieu of flowers.  Gordon also loved picking around and playing with the grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Bishop Pendry; son Erik Saenz and wife Nicole of Sanford, son Charles Quinton Pendry and Darlene; sister Brenda Mullins of Kentucky and grandchildren Jonathan, Lorenzo, Jasper, Annie and Moses Saenz and Evelyn and Nolan Pendry.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 5, from 2-3 pm with the funeral service following at 3 at Rocky Fork Christian Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
